It Can Feel So lonely to feel like we’re on own with our feelings and experiences…
…Or like we have to disconnect from or compromise parts of ourselves to be in relationship with other people. It’s my ongoing intention to create a place for you to bring all parts of yourself, and to help you build emotional safety and trust, both with yourself and with others. I also want you to feel deeply seen and heard, and to know that your perspective and experience matter. Often the more we feel connected to ourselves, to our emotions and our needs, the safer we can feel and more honestly and lovingly we can be in relationship with others.
I work with individuals and partners experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, communication issues, job or career transitions and stresses, grief, and attachment wounding and developmental trauma. In partner therapy, we can work to cultivate practical skills that you can use both in your daily life, and to help you connect on a deeper level.
We will go at your pace. We may also explore the mind-body connection, as well as systems and sociocultural contexts that have shaped your experience. It's important to me to stay mindful of my identities and life experiences as we work together. Humor can also be healing and I may bring it into sessions sometimes if it feels right.
